This evolution reflects our drive to continuously advance our technology, guided by customer feedback and industry needs. It’s an approach that has seen Tended quickly become a leader in geospatial safety solutions, with clients that include multiple Network Rail routes and principal contractors.

OUR FOUNDER'S STORY

Tended was founded in 2017 by Leo Scott Smith, whose experiences in the non-profit sector led to a deep understanding of the emotional importance of keeping people safe.

While managing education projects in Nepal, he was responsible for a team of volunteers delivering emergency aid during the aftermath of the devastating 2015 earthquakes. Facing aftershocks, landslides and other life-threatening events, he saw how deeply safety impacts every individual and their loved ones.

This experience led to the founding of Tended, driven by the mission of preventing avoidable accidents and ensuring everyone gets home safe from work.
